Privacy Policy

The Short Version
Tabtree lets you create links that open multiple tabs. You can use it without an account, or sign up to manage and organise your links. Either way, we only collect what we need to make the service work — nothing more.
What We Collect
If you create an account:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your password (stored as a secure hash — we never see the plaintext)
When you use Tabtree:
- The URLs you submit when creating a multi-link
- Custom slugs you choose for your links
- Click counts on your generated links
- Timestamps of when links are created and used
Automatically collected:
- Basic analytics (page views, general location by country, device type)
We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use Tabtree. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.
What We Don't Collect
- Payment information
- Your location beyond country-level analytics
- Any data for advertising or tracking purposes
How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account
- To generate and serve your multi-links
- To track how many times a link has been clicked
- To understand how people use Tabtree so we can improve it
Data Storage
Your account information and links are stored in our database indefinitely unless you request deletion. We don't currently offer automatic link expiration.
Sessions are stored securely and expire after 30 days of inactivity.
Third-Party Services
We use:
- Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics
- Turso — database storage for your links and account data
These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
Cookies
When you sign in, Tabtree sets a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie is:
- Strictly necessary — without it, sign-in doesn't work
- HttpOnly — not accessible to JavaScript, which protects against common attacks
- Not used for tracking or advertising
Vercel Analytics is designed to be cookie-less and does not set tracking cookies.
Your Account & Data
Want your account or links removed? Email us at hello@tabtr.ee and we'll delete everything associated with your account.
Children's Privacy
Tabtree isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll post a notice on the site.
